I have lived in Boone for eleven years. Graduating from ASU in 2009, I earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Promotions. To continue my education I completed a local yoga teacher certification course, as well as a Massage Therapy certification course from CCC&TI in 2012. In 2014, I completed my DONA doula training. I focus on combining my training to help my clients achieve their goals. I offer a number of services, including myofascial release, yoga-massage and pre/post-natal massage at Boone Healing Arts Center. For me, life is a journey of holistic health and healing and I love what I do.
Massage changed my life as a client well before I became inspired to become a therapist myself. Healing touch is important and undervalued in our culture. Not only can massage transform the body physically, but emotionally and mentally as well. As one of the most simple and effective healing modalities for many ailments, massage is a powerful tool. My specialties include myofascial therapy and pre- and postnatal massage.
Yoga has changed my life for the better. My personal yoga practice helps to keep me grounded in life and in the work that I do. I incorporate yoga into my massages through my own body mechanics as well as some assisted stretches on the table. In addition to massage therapy, I also teach group and private yoga classes. In private sessions, I focus on specific goals and tools to assist the client in taking initiative in their own healing. I also offer yoga and massage combination packages.
